Dr. Christian Kather serves as Chief Executive Officer and has held this position since May 2011. He joined the company in March 2010 and served as Chief Operating Officer until taking over as CEO. Mr. Kather is a member of the Board of Directors. He has a business education from Harvard Business School and INSEAD and a PhD in International Law from the University of Münster, Germany. Previously, he worked as Senior Vice President & General Manager, Evonik Degussa Corp., in Parsippany, NJ. There he was heading the Business Unit Coatings and Additives and was responsible for the global pigment dispersion business. Before that he held a number of senior executive positions within the Degussa Group, both in Europe and the USA, involving performance chemicals, colorants and coatings.
Mr. Ajeeth Enjeti has held the position of Chief Operations Officer since August 2013. Prior to the COO position, he was the Chief Transformation Officer of Mondo Minerals from Dec 2011 - July 2013. Before joining Mondo he worked with Bain & Company, a global Strategy Consulting firm based in their Northern European offices. Preceding that, he worked in Operations, Sales & Marketing, Client Management positions in companies such as PepsiCo and IBM in Asia & the Middle-East. He holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's degree in Management (specialization in Marketing) from the University in Delhi and an MBA (specialization General Management and Strategy) from IMD, Switzerland.
Dr. Michael Blümer joined the company in 1999 and serves as Vice President Marketing and Managing Director of the German entity. He has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Wuppertal in Germany. Prior to his current position, he was employed by Omya, and there he held positions as Technical Support Manager and Product Manager for diverse chemical specialities.
Mr. Samppa Kutvonen serves as Vice President Marketing & Sales, Paper Business, and he has been employed in this position since November 2017. He joined the company in July 2016 and his first position was as Technical Sales Manager for the paper industry. He has a degree in Master of Science in Paper Technology and an extensive international background in the paper and pulp industry. He has worked in Germany for nine years and during that time he has served several international companies such as Glatfelter Gernsbach GmbH, Stora Enso Deutschland GmbH, UPM Hürth and Rhein Papier GmbH.
Mr. Christophe Maquestiaux has moved in the role of Group Supply Chain Manager as per February 1st 2016. He joined Mondo Minerals in 2015 as Program Office Manager. His prior experience includes European S&OP manager for the industrial tools division of The Stanley Works, Benelux S&OP manager for Mondelez / Kraft Foods and Associate/Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.
Mrs. Ritva Piipponen serves as Group Human Resources Manager and has occupied this position since October 2009. Before being appointed Group HR Manager, Mrs. Piipponen was responsible for Human Resources for Finland and, additionally, she enjoyed group coordination responsibilities. She joined the company in 1995 and held the positions of Accounting Manager, Business Analyst, and Project Manager Finland. Prior to that, she worked as a lecturer in the Kajaani University of Applied Sciences. She has an MSc in Business Administration/Business Law and Accounting from the University of Vaasa, Finland.
Mr. Thierry Louisnard has served as Head of Process Development since December 01, 2011. Mr Louisnard holds an Engineering ESEM degree from Polytech Orleans in France and a Master in Business Management from IAE Toulouse (France). He is a senior manager with over 25 years of experience in mining operations, specializing in minerals processing. From 1987 until 2010 he worked for RIO TINTO Mining Group.
Mr. Eric Zaal holds the position as QHSE Manager NL as per February 1st 2017. After completing his study in analytical chemistry he started his career in Shell. He joined Solvay and Tyco Healthcare in QA/QC positions and worked as QHSE Manager in Tate and Lyle and United Biscuits. He is passionate about both Quality and Safety culture improvement and holds a six sigma greenbelt and a master degree on safety.
Mrs. Anu Kemppainen has served as QHSE Manager Finland since June 2014. She joined the company in 2003 as SEQ Manager Finland until April 2010. After that she held posi-tion of Group SEQ Manager until June 2014. She has a M.Sc in Chemistry from Oulu University in Finland and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt. Prior to joining Mondo Minerals she worked about 16 years in several positions in Pharmaceutical Industry in Finland.
