People

We create the environment for our people to develop their potential, and support their ambitions by personal training programs. Our goals require highly aligned and motivated teams. We respect and challenge each other.

We strive for sustainable employability of our experienced personnel where we take measures for long-term, healthy, enjoyable and productive participation in the labor process.

Safety

Safety is of highest importance for our company and a key performance indicator for all teams. We believe that all injuries and occupational illnesses, as well as safety and environmental incidents, are preventable, and are committed to a goal of zero for all of them.

Quality

As a producer of sophisticated specialties, a superior quality management system is one of the cornerstones of our business model. Quality is an indicator of how accurate a result is to the target. Our goal is that our products always exceed or meet requirements, show zero defects, represent the best possible fit for the purpose and delight customers.

Logistics

Our specialty products travel around the globe to more than 70 countries. Providing optimized supply chain and packaging is a key success factor. Our customers need to be  confident in our ability to deliver their product in time so that they can devote their energy towards the core aspects of their business.

Community

We believe that “doing the right thing” is the basis of sustainability and we conduct our business in an ethical manner by creating a balance between the needs of shareholders and the needs of the community and environment in the areas we operate.

In order to measure and manage our efforts, we have joined Sedex and became part of the world’s leading community for managing data on responsible sourcing, and EcoVadis, the leading platform for environmental, social and ethical performance ratings for global supply chains.

Within our Life Science department we have joined the Dutch Cosmetics Association which helps us follow all the regulations and changes in the European union for all Cosmetics and Personal care matters.  

Certification

We are certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and to the FSSC 22000 , as well as Kosher and Halal requirements.

Code of Conduct

We continue to progress along a journey to raise awareness and educate our people and suppliers about the Code of Conduct.

Human Rights and Ethics

Mondo Minerals treats all people with fairness, respect, honesty and appreciation. Mondo honours the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights and mandatory standards set forth by the International Labour Organization (ILO) related to human rights in employment and work ethics.
We strictly prohibit any form of harassment, abuse or discrimination based upon race, colour, sex, language, religion, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, union membership, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
We apply fair employment practises, including in the hiring process, promotions, rewards, access to training, job assignments, wages, benefits, disciplines and terminations. Employees enjoy wages and benefits that comply with national laws as well as with binding collective bargaining agreements. Working hours comply with applicable laws and mandatory industry standards. Working conditions are safe, and the health of our workers is an important asset.
Child labour does not take place in any of our business operations. We act in accordance with the ILO Convention C138 on Child Labour (Minimum Age Convention).
We do not tolerate forced labour. All forms of employment are voluntary, and all of our workers are free to leave upon reasonable notice.
All of our employees enjoy and exercise the right to freely associate, belong to a union and bargain collectively in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Sustainability

At Mondo Minerals, sustainability is a key driver in everything we do. Every day, we strive to reduce our resource consumption and operate more efficiently. We are committed to making a positive impact on the environment and contributing to a more sustainable industry and future.

A major focus lies in optimizing the energy efficiency of our operations. In parallel, we actively explore and invest in innovative solutions to minimize our carbon footprint:

  • For our Dutch sites we source 100% Green Electricity since 2019
  • Since 2021, we have purchased carbon dioxide-free electricity at our production facilities in Finland
  • CO2 emissions for production in Finland have reduced with 85% since 2019
  • Our production facility in Sotkamo reduced carbon emissions with 97% since 2019 and produces nearly carbon neutral


    We support and align with the European climate goals and initiatives and remain dedicated to driving continuous improvement across our entire value chain. Aligned with this approach, we have established rigorous sustainability governance, ensuring measurable and transparent progress against ESG goals.
